AT&T National golf tournament 2011 PGA Tour Preview

AT&T National is a professional golf tournament held in the Washington D.C. area during the Fourth of July weekend. The PGA Tour event is hosted by Tiger Woods and benefits the Tiger Woods Foundation.

Tiger Woods had to make his comeback in time to compete in AT&T National but it now looks like he might not even be ready for the British Open on July 14. Woods said:"I'm just going to learn my lesson from what I did at The Players,". While Moore said: “For me, it’s winning, I need to win more golf tournaments,” he made final preparations for the 2011 AT&T National.

Justin Rose is the defending champion, winning in 2010 with a score of -10.This year Rose has made $1.3 million, has eight top-25 finishes and is 37th in the FedexCup standings. He'll tee off at 12:55 p.m. on Thursday. CBS and the Golf Channel carry the AT&T National, which is the third event on the PGA Tour to be sponsored by the telecommunications giant.
