South Africa vs West Indies Review

A stable but choking South Africa will take on the unpredictable West Indies in their opening match in the ICC 2011 world Cup Cricket. This year South Africa is tagged as one of the favorite to win the ultimate crown of the ODI Cricket. South Africa always remains a balanced team with their pace bowling the main weapon not to mention their fielding which had always been the bench mark for the other teams. Under the aggressive leadership of Graeme Smith who himself is a very good opening batsman both in test and one day cricket, his opening partner Hashim Amla is in very good form to be followed by one of the greatest all rounder the game has seen ever Jacques Kallis. Middle order consists of AB de Villiers, Albie Morkel
Their bowling department is full of fast bowlers, perhaps presently the best pace attack in the world in the hands of Dale Steyn , Lonwabo Tsotsobe and Morne Morkel. Spinner Botha is also good in checking flow of runs.
Meanwhile West Indies who is always famous for making unpredictable results will depend heavily upon their opening batsman and former captain Chris Gayle known for hard hitting. Other batsman who can turn matches single handed in their own day are Kieron Pollard, Darren Bravo, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
Their bowling department is mainly packed with pacers not so effective but not bad at all with the pace and accuracy of Darren Sammy, Kemar Roach and Jerome Taylor.
The match will take place at Feroz Shah Kotla, New Delhi. Last match played here between India and Sri Lanka was abandoned due to bad wicket. So ICC is looking forward about how the wicket behaves this time. Chances for South Africa and West Indies is 65: 35.
