India vs West indies PREVIEW


Favorite India will take on already secured in last quarter final placed West Indies in the last of the league matches of the ICC World Cup 2011. Though both the teams have qualified for the super eight or quarter finals, but the match is important from the prospective that who will take on whom in the next round.
India will definitely try to avoid Sri Lanka and take on a comparative weak team Australia in their match.
For India the match on the day of colorful festival Holi fans will look forward to see opening batsman Sachin Tendulkar scoring another century thus making the tally to unique 100 Nos of centuries combined in both forms of the games.
The match will be played at Chennai which has been always the favorite haunting ground for Sachin Tendulkar. It’s a day night match.
Spinner Harbhajan Singh will try to make his impact before the beginning of the knock out stages while Yousuf Pathan will try to justify his inclusion in the team and its high time for him to perform.
For West Indies again the key factors will be their opening batsman Chris Gayle who scored a quick fire 40 odd runs in the last match and lost the match that they should have won easily. Till now another explosive batsman Pollard have not performed anything to justify his reputation. So he too will look to explode. India is expected to win this match. The wicket will help the spinners in the second innings. India’s record on this ground is very encouraging one.
