2012 Daytona 500, the 54th running of the event, will be held on February 26, 2012 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida on the 2.5 mile (4 km) asphalt tri-oval. It will be the first points-paying event of the 2012 season. Although it was scheduled to go live on 20 Feb, 2012 but due to Valentine’s Day and Presidents Day, it was later shifted to February 26, 2012.
