The Boston Marathon is set to start at 9:32 EST. The Elite Men, and American Ryan Hall, will start at 10 a.m. This event is always held on Patriots’ Day which is the third Monday of April. Monday is the 115th edition of the Boston Marathon. Joan Benoit Samuelson will be running in the race this year. This year there are 27,000 runners. For the first time they will have three waves of starters. Locally in Boston, WBZ (Ch. 4) will have race coverage all morning.
This year will be the 115th running of this historic marathon, which attracts some 500,000 spectators along the route from Hopkinton to Boston every year.
