The BAFTA awards ceremony will take place on today. Tonight is the British Academy of Film and Television Arts’ turn to stand in the awards-season spotlight. The event is the biggest movie event of the year in the UK and is seen as an accurate pointer for Oscar success.London gears up and rolls out the red carpet for the biggest night in the UK film calendar- The BAFTA awards.

Stephen Fry will host the British Academy Film Awards which will air live in Australia on Monday 13th February.
The red carpet action begins 7.30am, followed by the broadcast of the awards ceremony from 8.00am. StarPics is the only channel outside of the UK broadcasting the awards Live and in full HD. It will also screen the 84th Academy Awards Live on Monday 27 February from 10.00am.
Nominees attending include Adam Deacon, Bérénice Bejo, Brad Pitt, Chris Hemsworth, Eddie Redmayne, Gary Oldman, George Clooney, Jean Dujardin, Jessica Chastain, Jim Broadbent, Jonah Hill, Judi Dench, Kenneth Branagh, Kristen Wiig, Lynne Ramsay, Meryl Streep, Michael Fassbender, Michel Hazanavicius, Michelle Williams, Octavia Spencer, Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swindon, Tom Hiddleston, Tomas Alfredson and Viola Davis.
